Common questions
Why can't I start a challenge or bracket?
On iPhone, those use Apple Game Center. Open iPhone Settings, sign in to Game Center, then reopen the app.
On Android, there's nothing to sign in to. Add your friends first: open Play, tap Friends, then Add friend and type their friend code. You'll need an internet connection.
Can I play friends who have the other kind of phone?
Not yet. Friend matches, brackets, Global play and the daily rankings connect iPhone players with iPhone players, and Android players with Android players. The daily board itself is the same on both.
Where did my coins and streak go on a new phone?
Game progress is stored on the device and isn't backed up to an account yet.
How do I change the board theme or app icon?
Open the Me tab. Changing the app icon is only on iPhone.
Which version do I have?
Open the Me tab and look at About WordSmithy at the bottom. Including it in your email helps me find the problem faster.
